2023 : Artificial Remembrance (AR)
Sometimes a project arrives from unexpected places...
On a Sunday afternoon walk I came across some plastic flowers on a grave stone. The more I looked, the more I saw.
On many graves, after a little time has passed, fresh flowers are replaced by artificial ones.
These plastic arrangements bringing a little colour and joy to the location.
My images are arranged in groups of three and are edited to highlight the artificial in these particular acts of remembrance.
A selection of images from the artificial remembrance project were part of an RPS photographic exhibition
at the Espacio Gallery in London (11th to 15th October 2023).
